Safety Begins With Teamwork

Robert L. Hutzel, President, CIH, CSP

Mr. Hutzel has been in the safety and health profession for nearly 40 years. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), EPA Certified AHERA Building Inspector and Project Designer. He has worked for Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH), and the University of Arizona as an industrial hygienist. Mr. Hutzel developed the corporate industrial hygiene program for Salt River Project, and has provided hundreds of clients with professional consulting services for over 20 years. He is currently an Associate Faculty member at Arizona State University where he teaches two courses in Industrial Hygiene, he served on the Arizona OSHA Review Board, and is a member of the Technical Registrars' committee for developing cleanup standards for meth drug labs. Mr. Hutzel has published in the American Journal of Industrial Hygiene and has given speeches and training courses throughout the United States and Canada. He founded Hutzel & Associates, Inc. in 1990.

Enrique Luviano, IH Consultant, Operations Manager

Enrique has worked at Hutzel & Associates, Inc. since 1993. He currently serves as the company's Operations Manager. Mr. Luviano has a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology from the University of Arizona. He is currently EPA certified as an AHERA Contractor/Supervisor, Building Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer, EPA Certified Lead Risk Assessor and has completed the NIOSH 582 course for asbestos analysis. Mr. Luviano has also completed the OSHA 500 Construction Safety course, and conducts training classes in English and Spanish. Mr. Luviano has extensive experience conducting industrial hygiene, asbestos, and indoor air quality surveys. He is excellent at managing employees, conducting training classes and working with our clients.

David Piala, IH Consultant

David came to Hutzel & Associates in 2013 with 4 years of experience in the asbestos field. He is currently an EPA certified AHERA Contractor/Supervisor and Building Inspector; and completed his OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper training, as well as numerous other safety training courses. David's experience with Hutzel & Associates includes asbestos and lead building inspections, asbestos abatement project management, safety consulting, indoor air quality surveys, mold surveys, industrial hygiene surveys, and extensive asbestos abatement project management at power plants. His outstanding work ethic, enthusiasm and ability to communicate with clients and contractors makes him an outstanding member of the Hutzel & Associates team.

Augustine Anderson, IH Consultant

In 2016, Hutzel & Associates was fortunate to find this newest member of our team. Augustine has worked in the asbestos industry since 2003. He is currently an EPA Certified AHERA Contractor/Supervisor and Building Inspector; and completed his OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper training. Augustine's experience with Hutzel & Associates includes asbestos and lead building inspections, asbestos and lead abatement project management; indoor air quality, mold and industrial hygiene surveys. Augustine's years of experience in the industry make him a wonderful asset to our team and our clients.

Ken Howard, OSHA Compliance

Ken joined Hutzel & Associates in 2014 and is currently serving as a Safety Representative on the construction of a new Hydroelectric Power Plant in the state of Iowa, under the owner of the project, Missouri River Energy Services. Ken has 20 years of experience as a safety professional within both the General and Construction industries. His experience includes Motorola Inc. as a departmental safety director; safety manager for IES Commercial (Communications Div.) with branches in Albuquerque, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles; safety manager for BMWC Constructors as well as a contractor safety professional at the Arizona Intel Ocotillo and Chandler sites.

Connie Hutzel, Office Manager

Connie is the Office Manager for Hutzel & Associates, Inc. in charge of payroll, accounting, human resources, marketing and office administration. Connie has worked in the office administration field for over 20 years. She has excellent professional skills in organization, communication and computers. She keeps this place running!
